It's safe to say we're always searching for more sleep and better sleep. But what about more interesting sleep? For Beauty Water author Tori Holmes, mugwort has produced some of her "most fascinating and lucid dreaming experiences." While a lesser-known herb, mugwort also has historically been used for soothing arthritis or joint pain, regulating menstrual cycles and helping to support the liver's detoxification of the body.
Holmes recommends sipping one cup 30 to 60 minutes before bed.
1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon dried mugwort
- 1 tablespoon coconut butter
- 2 teaspoons raw honey, or to taste
Bring the water to a boil.
Pour the boiling water into a blender and add the mugwort, coconut butter, and honey.
Blend until the mugwort is smooth.
- Serve in a sacred cup.
