Just a few years ago, the chances of finding a good rye whiskey at the corner liquor store were slim to none. As craft cocktails became popular, bartenders dusted off bottles of rye whiskey and started to put them to use. For that, we are thankful.
We added some cinnamon, cloves and aromatic bitters to a combination of rye whiskey and apple cider, and the result is our new favorite highball cocktail for fall. Give it a try! We think you'll love it.
