Autumn has officially arrived. The leaves are beginning to change color, the temperatures are dipping, and we're getting excited for darker, more potent beverages. While we aren't fortunate enough to be throwing back a stein of beer in Germany, we'll surely be celebrating Oktoberfest stateside. Getting in the spirit of the season, this week we took a break from cocktails to find out the team's favorite craft beers of the moment. Here is what we're sipping on right now (yes, literally right now):
Sixpoint Resin
Eric, co-founder
"Brewed locally in Brooklyn, Resin is a Double IPA with some serious flavor—quite a bit different from your standard IPA. This beer packs a high alcohol content—9.1% ABV—so it's definitely a heavyweight that should be sipped slowly. A great beer to end a long day on."
Victory Prima Pils
Josh, co-founder
"This is my go-to for fall day-drinking. Light enough to enjoy before sundown, but carrying with it some solid hoppy flavor and bite, this German-inspired pils is a great crossover beer as the seasons change from summer to fall."
Blue Point Pumpkin Ale
Jordan, business development
"In my book, fall is pumpkin beer season. It's all I drink when I'm out, since it's the only time you can get it. This beer from Blue Point has the perfect balance of pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg."
Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Extra Ale
Justin, lead designer
"Like that first step out into the cool crisp of fall weather, Lagunitas Little Sumpin’ comes on bold and is best served ice-cold. Overcast weather is extra perfect for getting a Little Sumpin’ extra!"
Shiner Oktoberfest
Jessica, social media manager
"I grew up in Texas where Shiner beer flows like water. Their Oktoberfest brew is my favorite sipper for a crisp fall day."
